In Liquid, Confluent., I fragment and reweave the intimate narrative between mother and daughter, confronting the fragility of closeness in the present moment.

Suspended woven images depict our long-distance relationship, where interwoven video call screenshots re-narrate two original photographs, layering past and present. The large woven backdrop evokes the womb, suggesting technology as an invisible umbilical cord binding us across distance. These fragmented yet shared moments sustain our bond, while the video piece The Opening Whisper serves as a prologue to our relationship.

In an era where all relationships feel fragile, we exist in a liquid world shaped by shifting social structures and technological mediation. Intimacy has become fluid, constantly adapting to instability. In this work, I search for the scarce stability within intimacy, seeking to soften the dissonance of contemporary uncertainty. Through the act of weaving, I construct a female-centered narrative, expanding the space for mutual presence between two generations of women.
